Tweed Heads Bowls Club, Opals Room, 22nd March, 6.30pm NSW time.
THE STORY Three women live next door to each other in an inner city apartment block. They all live alone and depend on an outside, unavailable person for intimacy. The women never really develop relationships with each other until the power in the building inexplicably fails and an electrician called FRED is sent to fix it. As he works on the sockets and fixtures he counsels each woman and formulates a plan to fix their lives.

THE CHARACTERS EMMA PAULY, 60's An artist, well travelled and perhaps a bit bohemian though now in the first stages of Alzheimers disease. Before she loses her mind completely she wants to tell her estranged daughter, Ruby, that she loves her. She would also like to paint her masterpiece.

MAUREEN PARMIGER, 40's - 50's Glamorous widow who has had a lover for fifteen years. He promises to leave his severely depressed wife, when she can cope. When the wife finally suicides he then ends their relationship.

ALISON CHURCH, “Fuller Figured 20's " A young woman who talks to her friend Cheryl on the phone every day and fantasizes about the gorgeous Dennis Cooper, a guy she met at the cemetery, but her closest bond is with her dead brother, Darryl.

FRED, age open, though 30 - 45 range expected. Electrician. Possibly an angel.

GENERAL AUDITION INFORMATION This is an exciting new Australian musical and will be the Australian Premiere production. Successful actors will also need to be experienced and strong vocalists. As well as a short reading, interested singer/actors are asked to present a song of approx. 3 to 4 minutes which best shows their vocal range and ability. You are to provide your own backing track on USB.
